Trump bashes probes into his ‘non-dealings’ with Russia

President Donald Trump groused Thursday that no one is investigating Democrats’ “dealings with Russia” while there are multiple investigations into what he phrased as his “non-dealings” with Moscow.

The House and Senate Intelligence Committees are investigating Russia’s meddling in the 2016 campaign, including possible collusion between Trump associates and Moscow. The FBI is also conducting a parallel probe, which reportedly includes special counsel Robert Mueller looking into whether the president obstructed justice.

“Why is [it] that Hillary Clintons family and Dems dealings with Russia are not looked at, but my non-dealings are?” Trump tweeted Thursday afternoon.

“Crooked H destroyed phones w/ hammer, ‘bleached’ emails, & had husband meet w/AG days before she was cleared- & they talk about obstruction?” Trump said in a follow-up message.

Trump was alluding to the former secretary of state’s handling of her private email server, an issue that dogged the Democratic nominee’s presidential campaign since before it officially began. Former President Bill Clinton met with Attorney General Loretta Lynch on an airport tarmac near the end of an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email server, but there’s no evidence the former secretary of state orchestrated the get-together, as Trump implied.

As a candidate, Trump repeatedly suggested that Clinton should be jailed for her behavior but backed off his harsh rhetoric once he won the election.
